Can we just talk about how incredibly INTELLIGENT Vette is? I mean not only does she solve ancient Sith puzzles that have been mysteries for centuries, but she disarms bombs, slices security systems and maneuvers through traps designed for special military-trained forces, and calls it CHILD’S PLAY? And this without any formal education? Raised as a slave, everything she knew would have been learned by experience, from her mother, from Risha (who is also unbelievably smart) and Nok Drayen’s pirate crew, a gang of Twi’lek youths and a lot of self-study I’m sure. And not to mention how cultured she is and all her work has been about preserving Twi’lek history and how knowledgeable she is.

And lets not forget either how unabashedly strong and brave and optimistic and good hearted and sweet and loving and loyal and witty and adorable and perfect aggghhhhh just VETTE

Kira and Jaesa knew each other and were good friends prior to Jaesa defecting to the Sith. Kira mourns her friend and assumes her to be lost

Kira teams up with newly minted Jedi Master Ona’la, and the two of them ignore the JK storyline entirely proceed to work towards the freedom and autonomy of the twi’lek people, working particularly with twi’lek women and children in slavery

Kira is surprised one day by an encoded message from Imperial Space, and is stunned to find her old friend still very much alive and not quite as sithy as she was expecting. Jaesa has heard about her work and reveals that her wife Vette has been involved in twi’lek affairs in the empire, and would they perhaps consider an arrangement to help one another and strengthen their cause?

And then I cry forever about women supporting women and uplifting one another and helping abused and underprivileged women and ignoring dude-saves-the-day narratives
