The Core World journalism clique immediately figures out it’s him because he uses the word “loathsome” and going back over his speeches it’s kind of a linguistic tell.
one of my favorite tropes of all time is when the author tries to replace curse words with a more ‘family friendly’ alternative or invent new words for worldbuilding purposes but they use existing words that make the whole thing unintentionally hilarious out of context
“Jar Jar was prominently featured in the merchandise for the movie—leading to some ridiculous products being attached to his character, including an infamously lewd-looking Jar Jar lollipop:
Apparently the item was so poorly regarded, the actor that portrayed Jar Jar was apologized to by marketers just for it actually existing.”
